St. Marys has been honored to serve Pleasant County for more than 100 years. The rich insurance history of this office comprises insurance expertise of three families, Fanta, Fleming and Flower.
L.Ernest Flower started the L. E. Flower Cash Store in the 1920s, near the B & O Depot in St. Marys. He sold meats, produce and store goods, and some insurance. Leo Flower, his son, would later establish Leo Flower Insurance Agency in 1954. Edgar Fleming and Leo E. Flower, Jr. grew up next door to each other on Second Street. Unbeknownst to them, one day both would land in the insurance industry with their office storefronts only doors apart – on Second Street.
Fast forward to present day, Flower and Fleming partnered with another third-generation, family-owned agency Waters Fanta Insurance Agency. By linking arms, we not only honor our commitment to serving St. Marys, but also offer our clients three convenient office locations and a network of 10+ licensed agents.
